What a beautiful place

I work on a beautiful campus. Although I am sometimes irritated with the policy and bureaucracy here, but the beauty of our campus is often unmatched. Don't you think?
We are anticipating a major winter storm. We could see upwards of 8" of snow. I am super excited about the snow because my girls love it so much, and because I am giving my husband a new set of skis for Christmas that he might be able to take down our hill while I sled with the girls. Plus, it will be Christmas and who doesn't love a white Christmas? We are going to try to do better this year at really enjoying the Christmas holiday, rather than rushing from place to place.
This week was back to work for me after a blissful week in Colorado. I wish we could move there. Housing is so expensive and with the economy so terrible, I wouldn't want to risk our stability. And, how would I move away from everything I know here? But my dream is to own a ranch in the northwest Colorado or Southern Wyoming. Close enough to skiing to enjoy it regularly, but not so close to get sucked in to the tourism. I want to live far enough away that we get snowed in and can't get out. Where everything I can see is pure nature, and not built up with houses, subdivisions, and shopping malls. In my next life, right?
Merry Christmas to all!
